Savarosk, page 10

Location: Savarosk, Russia

Known as the bread basket of Russia because of its grain production. Also was a major centre for the German population and famous as the place where Yuri Gagarin spent his childhood.

The Cranes, monument to the fallen. The souls of the dead were supposed to fly off as cranes from the highest point, hence the name of the monument.

National Glory Park on Sokolovay Hill, an outdoor memorial centre.
