The Dead Sea

...and another

The Holiday Inn Resort, view from the patio at our room of the children's pool, one of the many pools.

And the mud floaters showering off! We were warned by our guides not to do this as there is a hygiene issue so we 'floated' in the part with a very rocky floor. We had to go in with sandals on.

The hotel had a private beach with all mod cons.

The dancer with our friend Christian in the background, supposed to be a belly dancer but that was debatable....

Sunset, the beach is closed after sunset and floating is prohibited.

Road signs are in three languages. No photos are allowed at the border and we were quite thankful that the crossing was open

This chap posed for me. Hot coals are put in a bucket, spices sprinkled over the top, and the smoke is then inhaled through a pipe.

And so we drove onto the border.....you can just make out the crossing, Allenby Bridge in the far distance.

View of the West Bank across the other side of the Dead Sea taken from the bus, looking towards Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found.
