Kendo WorkshopLocation: Toin Gakuen - Yokohama, JapanMr. Koabayashi (Kendo teacher/coach) took us for a 50 minute Kendo workshop. The boys (and I, although I was only taking photos) loved it. Learning how to put on the gear was just as interesting as learning how to fight with the Shinai (bamboo kendo sticks).

Our first photo with the Japanese teachers. T for TIES (Toin International Exchange Students).
The boys line up with their Shinai as Mr Kobayashi gives instructions.
Milan listening carefully as he follows instrucions.
The boys were not used to having to sit on their knees for long periods of time. Andy especially found it difficult...
William really looked the part.
Putting on the gear was more complicated than expected. We had to get a bit of help from the master.
Amarind finally manages to get his full outfit on!
Now fully equipped. On to learning the moves.
Jack was quite the natural with learning all the kndo moves.
Milan and William battle.
Milan and William took a little while to get the hang of the moves but evetually managed to put all the moves together.
Final photo with the whole crew.
