Judo Workshop

Location: Toin Gakuen - Yokohama, Japan

This time Mr Kimura (Judo teacher/coach) took us for a Judo workshop. Some of the boys were able to show off their skills in this sport.

Tying the Obi was a little confusing for some.

The first thing was to learn how to tie the Obi (sash).

The teacher always personally demonstrated the moves first.

The most important thing in Judo is to be able to defend yourself. Here the boys are learning how to land on the ground without hurting themselves.

Then the students first try on their own.

Here the teacher is demonstrating the sideways-break-fall.

The instructor demonstrates by taking down Daniel.

Te boys are not just rolling on the floor for fun...

Ready, set...

It is Milan's turn to win the wrestle.

The boys are satisfied after a days wrestle.

Go!
