Another auspicious day ...Location: Keeranur, India... to do with light. And of course, celebrated with firecrackers so loud that if you aren't expecting it (as I wasn't), you may nearly wee yourself with fright!!!!

Outside houses - the drawings are a bit more colourful and elaborate and there are pretty little oil burning candles everywhere
The street I live on
Sitting outside looking at the nice candles burning, the downstairs boy wanted me to put on his sunglasses so he could take a pic, he caught the moment just as his sister started to do a weird monkey dance for me!!!
